When Lane isn't bass fishing, he loves to play golf and watch his favorite college football team, the Michigan Wolverines. Lane's most memorable fishing experience was winning Big Bass with a 9.31 lb largemouth on Lake Amistad. His favorite pro angler is Jacob Wheeler because he's such a positive guy both on and off the water.

Lane's partner is Aaden Thomas and their partner is Brad Nichols. This is Lane's second season with GBC.
