Lake Travis High School Open

What an exciting day it was for our club's first entry in a high school fishing tournament! The weather could have cooperated a little more but with their hopes high and their determination strong, CJ Kowalik and Blake Martinez set out to represent the Guardians Bass Club on Lake Austin last Saturday. With Captain Brian Berry at the helm, they weighed in 3 bass for a total of 7.15 lbs, ending up in 6th place out of 34 boats.

Fishing was tough that day with only 2 boats bringing in a limit and many teams coming up empty. With only 15 minutes of fishing left in the day, Blake Martinez landed a 4.41 lb hog to launch them from 15th to 6th place! Great job, Guardians!!
