FAN South #1 - Coleto Creek
It was a tough day on Coleto Creek last weekend! Between the high temperatures both on and off the water, fishing was slow and the conditions were tough. Congratulations to all the anglers who fished that day and finished strong!
GBC had 13 teams representing at this kick-off for the brand new FAN South Division and boy did we show up to win!!!
The veteran GBC team of Chandler Banks and Grady Walters finished in 1st place with 3 fish totaling 7.38 lbs, taking home some killer Kistler rods, a trophy and of course, bragging rights. This first place finish also earned them a spot in the FAN Championship in May. They also had Big Bass of 3.81 lbs.
Another strong GBC showing was the team of Jason Phillips, Jr. and his new partner Tanner Gooding, finishing in 4th place with 3.92 lbs.
Coming out of the gate in their first bass tournament ever was the team of Gavin Bayless and Jacob Heidrich, placing 5th with 3.90 lbs.
Other respectable showings by GBC were:
- Lane Carpenter and Aaden Thomas - 9th Place
- Reid Robison and Keegan Clement - 10th Place
- Jacob Gallas and Colton Gibbons - 11th Place
- Logan Bourgeois and Kaden Weidenfeld - 12th Place
- Sam Delac and Kolten Graf - 14th Place
- Braxton Holden and Dylan Sanchez - 16th Place
As you can see, it was a rough day on the lake with high water temps and heat baking down on the anglers. We hope to have better conditions and more bites on our next stop on the FAN Tournament Trail, which will be Sept 29th on Lake Travis.
Thank you to all who came out to support us and to those who competed. I look forward to seeing you out on the water again. God bless.
