A Lake Record And The "W" on Canyon Lake For FAN South Qualifier #1

We've all heard the saying "Go big or go home", but Guardians Bass Club really took it to heart Saturday on Canyon Lake for the FAN South season opener.

Not only did the team of Logan DeCock and Ty Mechler take first place with an impressive 10.99 lbs, but Ty Mechler weighed in a 7.62 lb Big Bass that is unofficially the Junior Lake Record Largemouth! Ty's paperwork has been submitted to the TPWD and is awaiting certification. Great job, Ty!

Overall GBC had an impressive showing at the first FAN South Qualifier of the season. Also finishing in the Top Ten were:

Heidrich/Turner - 5th place

Carpenter/Thomas - 9th place

Dornburg/Skrivanek - 10th place
